Research Study Seeks ALS Patients
If you or someone you know experience episodes of uncontrollable
laughing and/or crying, you may be eligible for a clinical study now
underway to find a treatment for this condition.
A clinical research trial is actively enrolling patients to evaluate
the efficacy and safety of a targeted treatment known as AVP-923. The
trial is recruiting patients with ALS and other neurological disorders
who have pseudobulbar affect, a condition characterized by
episodes of uncontrollable laughing and/or crying. An estimated 50
percent of ALS patients suffer from pseudobulbar affect.

Participants Must:
- Be between 18 and 80 years of age
